Notebooks comprising notes, correspondence, etc. of Dubansky's freelance bookbinding and book conservation commissions from 1981 on. Although she has been employed as a book conservator at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, N.Y. since 1982, she has maintained a freelance conservation practice throughout that period.

Mindell Dubansky, a native of Baltimore, Md., received her BFA in Drawing and Printmaking at Carnegie-Mellon University in 1976. She subsequently attended Pratt Institute and from 1981-82 pursued a one-year course in fine bookbinding and book restoration at the Camberwell School of Arts and Craft in London; in 1988 she received an MLS degree, with an advanced certificate in library preservation administration, from Columbia University.
